The Global Warming Olympics

Warm Weather SkiingSpotted this cover shot from a 1968 USSR engineering publication (click to open larger version), and thought that they might have predicted the future for the Winter Olympics.

Note the snowless slopes below the huge suspended slaloms. With climate change continuing apace, we might need to construct something like this for 2010.

The shirtless look adds a whole sexy dimension to the sport of skiing. Plus, it's very aerodynamic.
