Microsoft Flickr?

MS Flickr Live

It's looking more and more likely that Vancouver's little start-up that shook up the Web 2.0 world with its innovative photo sharing, is going to be snagged in an inevitable Microsoft purchase of Yahoo.

Drag. I really do feel that anything Microsoft touches turns to stone.

Someone come up with a viable alternative. Google's Picasa service is one of that company's rare duds. If they could come up with a good Flickr alternative, then develop an API that allows me to transfer my photo library with titles, tags and descriptions over to a new service, I'd jump at it if it means not being a Microsoft subscriber.
