Eyesore of the Month: March Edition

Posted by Michael Klassen on August 15, 2007 in Zeitgeist

James Howard Kunstler is a figure well-known to the urban planning community, and his blog features a deliciously bitchy architectural "Eyesore of the Month". Here is a Canadian building, Kunstler's March 2007, Eyesore of the Month, the Museum of Human Rights being built in Winnipeg.

Is there anything that Canadians haven't built a museum for? Kunstler absolutely nails this building design, calling it a 'wad of discarded scotch tape.' Ouch.
