The Controlled Deflation of BC Place
Posted by Michael Klassen on January 9, 2007 in Vancouver
Looks like everyone who lives near the Dome has a video camera and a YouTube account (I mean, who doesn't?). Skonenblades puts the whole sequence together in this clip.
Note the blobs of slush flying off the roof. I remember that morning mainly because the snow caught everyone off guard that day. Snow removal trucks launched late across the Lower Mainland, and traffic was brutal that morning.
I love how the media are referring to this as a controlled deflation. That's a bit like a drunk crash landing on his face and calling it an intended rest stop.
